Summary: Soulful and Perfection
Comment: Eva Cassidy has the most amazingly soulful and dead on pitch during her performances. I find it hard to believe that her perfect timing and pitch could conquer the likes of being recorded live. I highly recommend this album - the perfect blend of upbeat and mellow tracks to enjoy.

Summary: A lovely recording of a beautiful voice
Comment: With the exception of the last song on the disc (Oh, Had I a Golden Thread), these songs were recorded live as Eva Cassidy performed and sang them -- no overdubs or substitutions -- and they sound great. Her voice is wonderful, bright, crisp and clear, and she has a way of making each song her own. The recording also includes her introductions to the songs. If you have her other CDs then you owe it to yourself to get this live set.

Summary: One to play until you wear it out!
Comment: There aren't adequate words for me to describe how much I respect and admire the talent of this woman. Her story is a tragic one but her gift lives on...and on. There is great variety in this collection but her penchant for folksy blues is what stands out...always. And live performances in this genre, particularly in an intimate setting such as this, are usually better than studio recordings. If you haven't heard her yet...do it soon. If you have and don't have this particular CD...don't hesitate to buy it. You won't be sorry.

Comment: "Live at Blues Alley" is a nice blues CD. Even the moaning and groaning that is done in blues songs sounds good, because it's done by Eva Cassidy, who has a rich, sweet voice.
The quality of the CD is good. It was recorded live, but there are no extraneous sounds, other than applause.
