Editorial Reviews:

This is a production rife with odd pairings: English actor Daniel Day-Lewis joining up with the Mohawks; James Fenimore Cooper adapted by Michael Mann; disparate composers Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman teaming up. This last pairing seems a suspicious attempt to endow the score of this modern film adaptation of a junior high school literary evergreen with both a golden age of Hollywood dramatic bent (Jones) and a '90s-slick guitar-muzak veneer (Edelman). A strange amalgam that doesn't quite work. --Jerry McCulley

Customer Rating: Summary: One O' My Favs Comment: This soundtrack is awesome. If you aren't familiar with the soundtrack from the movie but you like violins and drums in a celtic-like style then this is for you.
Customer Rating: Summary: Soundtrack Comment: This is the second of two soundtracks that my husband loves but never bought. I bought it as a gift for him and he loves it!
Customer Rating: Summary: OMG - the BEST music for love Comment: Okay, this review is not exactly family-friendly but worth mentioning. I will try to keep it as "PG" as possible. Simply put, I highly recommend both girls and guys to employ this soundtrack during "love sessions." The rhythm and power are uncompromising and it will exponentially heighten your experience.
Pshew.. Is it getting hot in here?
Customer Rating: Summary: Promontory - disappointing Comment: "Promontory" was cut short and is not as it was in the film. It was the climax of the entire film, and this tune made it a complete package. Very disappointing. This is the 3rd soundtrack/score that I've purchased in the hopes of having this tune as it was in the movie. It looks like my only option is to somehow have the music ripped from the DVD itself.
Customer Rating: Summary: Incredibly moving music. Comment: A lot of movies have great soundtracks, but to listen to this soundtrack by itself is incredibly moving and can stand alone without the film.
It takes you through every emotion and feeds your imagination. The Celtic style and sound plays deep into your soul. Highly recommended!!!
