Customer Rating: Summary: DEATH ANGEL - ACT III Comment: This is probably one of, if not their best album.
Their sound is totally unique to other bands in METAL.
I would say it is worth buying!!
I rate this CD a 8 from 1to10!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Talented, creative, intelligent, funky... and of course, METAL! Comment: Just wanted to lend my support to those who reviewed this album positively. An excellent album, sophisticated and skillful. Play this when in the presence of those who think heavy metal is juvenile! Primal enough to bang to, intelligent enough to listen to, occassionally mellow, and even downright funky in places, too (viz. Discontinued!). A suprising, sophisticated offering worth 4.5-5 stars. Thanks to those reviewers who mentioned their later offerings as "The Organisation". I'm searching for them now!
Customer Rating: Summary: A Memorable Record From an Underrated Band Comment: Death Angel has always been about a quirky mix of metal, punk, funk and classical delivered with brutal authority. This record is a disappointment only in that it would be over a decade before we would get anything else like it from these guys. The songwriting here shows a natural evolution from Frolic through the Park and the Ultra-Violence. There's more interplay between lead and backing vocals and the lyrics are better thought out if still a bit cryptic at times.
The guitars are kicking, the drumming is powerful, the bass is popping and the riffs are killer - Seemingly Endless Time is a thrash classic. If you appreciate good vocal harmonies with interesting playing and unconventional song structures, this record has something for you. These guys pioneered putting funky stuff into thrash before Faith No More was even heard of here in the States. I highly recommend this record.
