Customer Rating: Summary: as beautiful as a poem Comment: fascinating french movie. not overly sentimental and romantic, but at times erotic and lustful. a quiet, slow burning desire. when life was fulfilled and so satisfying, you might just want to end it right there. a movie clicked a core of your soul and would keep vibrating for the rest of your life.
glamorously beautiful hairdresser, a serene, warm, ravishing and passionate woman played so just-right by an excellent actress. the husband role was a bit too old but also a mature, likable and even lovable character played by a fantastic talent actor.
highly recommended.
Customer Rating: Summary: Some time ago Comment: I can remember preparing to watch this movie for the second or third time. It was late and my family was sound asleep. I placed the reclining sofa directly in front of the TV and ran my high quality headphones from the receiver to the sofa. I pushed play then puase and went out to smoke a propper amount of chronic. Technical difficulties were minimized and all I had to do was sneak back into the house and watch with pure delight the best romantic movie that I have ever seen.
That was a long time ago and I wonder what it would be like to watch it again. This movie can in one way be called a romance movie or love story but I think it is more so a reflection on the transience of life and existential dread and loss.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great French Cinama Comment: I saw this movie years ago on IFC and fell in love w/ it. I didn't know the name and tried contacting IFC and seeing if I could find it online but never did. Finally the other day it was on cable ago and I still loved it. I would say even more. Its such a beautiful love story w/ very Film Noir ending. Subtitles and all its worth watching.
Customer Rating: Summary: I was totally obsorbed in this film Comment: Jean Rochfort is the best actor in French CINEMA, Watch courage mon Fu yon (take courage and run) And Pardon mon affaire and your hooked........I WENT TO BED THINKING ABOUT THIS FILM AND AWOKE IN THE MORNING........STILL THINKING ABOUT THIS FILM,BUY IT AND NEVER LEND IT TO ANYONE YOULL NEVER GET IT BACK.PS IF ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN FIND OUT HOW TO OBTAIN THE ARABIC MUSIC IN THIS FILM, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND ILL BUY YOU A BEER.
Customer Rating: Summary: Taste of Life - Happiness and Sadness Comment: This film breaks my heart, not only due to the sadness of its story, but also because of the beautiful story telling. This movie makes me more aware of the precious moment of life - the moment that will never come back to us. Life is very short as though it is a blink or two, and I easily forget it, but the film reminds me of it so I can utilize my time efficiently as time does not go backward even though it sometimes seems that way.
