Customer Rating: Summary: The Greatest Video Ever!! Comment: I wish they'd put this out in DVD!! Come on, people! "Mondo Elvis" is used in our household as an initiation ceremonial, er, tool for any one visting our house for the first time.
This is hilarious stuff, the sort of film that makes you glad that the television was invented. Elvis' twin 'daughters' (!) take the cake for the most deluded people you'll ever meet. You want to cry for them, but it's too hard to stop laughing. Get this. Get this. Get this. And please, someone, ask them to put it in DVD.
Customer Rating: Summary: There is NOTHING like this Comment: I want to know what happened to all these people these 20 years later. I say with pride I have watched this more than any other video I own. I know it by heart. It amazes and delights me and scares me all at the same time. This is the best 30 minutes ever put on video. I would love to meet the film makers and find out even more about Artie et al. Can we all start a fan club of this brief documentary? Is anyone else as in love with it as me?
Customer Rating: Summary: Elvis is Everywhere Comment: This short film is one of the funniest documentaries ever made. From Artie Mentz, the Jewish Elvis impersonator, to the twins who think that they are Elvis' daughter, this is a video find. Don't miss Artie Mentz's story of how he performed for the crippled boy, and how it was probably "the greatest moment of his life". Very funny.
Customer Rating: Summary: color of money Comment: ALSO--this film is not B/W as listed on the Amazon site... it's in full color, baby!
Customer Rating: Summary: You can rearrange Elvis to spell: L I V E S Comment: Embarrassed to admit to friends that more than once you've done an elvis impersonation in the shower? I was just wondering. This film may be for you. This short film is a one of a kind video GEM. You will impress your friends, family, and neighbors by showing them a most unique documentary all about elvis fanatacism. Mondo Elvis is a staple for anyone that loves Elvis, hates Elvis, or just has an appreciation for all things tacky and in poor taste. If you like Roger and Me, American Movie, or Blue Hawaii--you must buy this film NOW. This is also a wonderful film for professors of Sociology, Social Work, Religion/Philosophy, or American Studies. In only 25 minutes you can't help but have a conversation about identity, counseling interviews, or how Elvis and Jesus might be related. You will not be disappointed. -Treeboy
