Editorial Reviews:

My name is different every month -- Brandy, Honey, Amy-sometimes Joe doesn't even bother to ask -- but he never fails to arouse me with his body, his mouth, his touch, no matter what I'm called or where he picks me up. The sex is always amazing, always leaves me itching for more in those long weeks until I see him again.

My real name is Sadie, and once a month over lunch Joe tells me about his latest conquest. But what Joe doesn't know is that, in my mind, I'm the star of every X-rated one-night stand he has revealed to me, or that I'm practically obsessed with our imaginary sex life. I know it's wrong. I know my husband wouldn't understand. But I can't stop. Not yet.

Summary: Megan, please keep writing!!!
Comment: This is a great book; I'm so glad I recently found Megan Hart on Amazon. I love to read and her writing is well above most of the other stuff out there. I got so absorbed in this book, that I got that fly on the wall feeling, as if I were an unseen spectator standing just a few feet away from Sadie and Joe. My only reservations are that Joe's motivations for his trysts were hard to understand (especially considering the possibility of getting STD's, ugh) and that the scene with the three skanks, was very shocking and more than a little over the top. Keep it up, Megan!

Summary: I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before I read the book
Comment: If I had found out the full subject matter before I picked up the book, I might have missed out on one of the deepest, most complex reads I've had in a very, very long time. Broken is really the perfect title as it relates to almost every major character.

The spine of the book declares it as 'erotica' but it didn't feel like that to me. There were sex scenes and they were explicit, but with the way the book is written, they didn't feel designed to titillate, or even especially intimate.

As a romance reader, and, knowing this was a Harlequin book, I found myself torn between which anti-hero I was rooting for. I wanted it to be Joe, I wanted it to be Adam. I wanted poor Sadie to catch a break every once in a while. This wasn't a lighthearted book, and I have to give Ms. Hart full marks for being able to write with such depth about such a difficult topic without depressing me. To tell the truth, I couldn't put it down. It was an incredibly powerful read.

Ms Hart has made a big fan out of me. I will be glomming her backlist. Her writing is superb and her characters are so well fleshed out that I had no problem relating to them. My only quibble is that I didn't feel like I got to know Joe (the real Joe) well enough, and I wanted a bit more from the end. We got such a clear insight into their beginnings, I wanted more direction in how they ended.

Brava.

Comment: Very good read. Be careful not to read many reviews for spoilers. Good story over all with lots of hot sex scenes.

Summary: Surprising Depth-SPOILERS
Comment: Wow. This book was bought with the intention of escape but I found myself transported into a depressing world of conflict and challenges. I wouldn't have bought this book had I known more about it although I am glad I did. I do not consider this book erotica although there are many arousing scenes. I found it to be more a book about relationships and the challenges people face as life takes its twist and turns. I did think it was convenient for erotica/romance sake that her husband dies in the end. I felt a bit manipulated after struggling with Sadie for the entire book on how to make this marriage work and would they even be together if Adam were healthy but I was so happy it didn't end on a totally depressing note I didn't seem to care. I found it difficult to be aroused when I was crying for half the book. I would have liked to know more about Joe's motives even while in a relationship with another woman. Was he always waiting for Sadie? Overall I was very impressed with the depth of feeling this book evoked in me and how it seems to linger long after the last page. Megan is a definite talent and I look forward to reading more of her books although I will approach them with more respect than some trashy throw away.

Comment: I have to say this book was one of the best stories I have ever read. It's a read and share with your friends sort of book. As, a woman I could relate with all the emotions this girl was having. Do I ? Don't I ? Should I ? Shouldn't I ? We all have thoughts, but do we act on them ? Yes or NO ?
